Double click on selected camera to switch to full screen mode, or use the mouse scroll control to perform digital zoom anytime on a selected camera. Controller-Style Camera Command Interface

The controller panel increases the ease to function live-view. You can operate the PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) and digital zoom in/out function, switch to a preset position or patrol path, and take snapshots, browse E-Map and manually record videos.

Events

Replay Critical Events Freely and Efficiently

Use the built-in event filter to sort events by different requirements. During event replay, you can use the control buttons to fast forward, slow down, zoom-in and zoom out, drag-n-move the video, or skip to the previous or next event. Pausing the video gives you the ability to skip to the previous or next frame as well as take a snapshot and save the picture.

View More Events in Less Time

Feel like checking events in a more efficient way? The multi-event player in Surveillance Station 5 allows users to playback events in multiple channels in a synchronized or individually sequential manner. When viewing the recording of a single event, you can still save precious time by using the Time Slicing feature. This innovative solution quarters an event and plays all 4 parts concurrently. You'll find yourself viewing more events using less time.

Export and Mount Events with Flexibility

Export events from Surveillance Station 5 to any shared folder or to an external USB/eSATA storage device. This allows you to save storage space without losing recording events. Should the need arise to review the old recordings, just mount them back onto Surveillance Station 5 and they are ready for review in Timeline or event player. With this feature, you can mount the exported events onto another Surveillance Station 5 for viewing.

Easy camera installation

Installing cameras is straightforward. Surveillance Station 5 automatically searches and lists out all available cameras1 on the network, saving you the trouble of remembering the camera's model name and IP address.

Surveillance Station 5 also allows you to customize detailed recording and live view settings. Use the various recording modes to set up a complete 24-7 recording schedule for each IP camera.

Create a preset position by adjusting the camera angle to focus on a point you'd like to monitor. Connect several preset positions to form a patrol path and guard cycle. While it's all easy to get your hands on, the newly added wizard also offers you a step by step guide through the process.

Access Live View and Events from Multiple DiskStations

Manage cameras installed on multiple DiskStations in a large-scale deployment. The host server can control and monitor live view and events of all IP cameras that's managed by client servers. Surveillance Station 5 offers 36-channel layout for live view. You can also playback events recorded on different client servers simultaneously in a synchronized or non-sync manner.

Stay Notified Even When Away

By setting up email account and SMS authentications, Surveillance Station 5 will send you emails or SMS notifications when critical events occur. Specify which events trigger notifications to stay on top of the of the latest security status for your property.

Easily Manage New and Existing Users

Grant system users permission to access Surveillance Station 5 with the privilege of either manager or spectator. In addition, administrators are free to decide which IP cameras each user can access.

Useful System Log for Troubleshooting

Critical events such as camera disconnection or changes on the camera settings are recorded in logs. You can view the logs and manually delete/save the log for further use. Critical events can be quickly located by the use of Log filter.

Access Any Camera in the World

Instead of browsing through all recorded events, DS cam allows users to use the built-in event filter to sort events by date range. When the search is complete, the list of events will be ordered by starting date on the search range to most current ones.
