Overview
ExaSAN is a complete External PCI-Express SAN solution that consists of all SAN components required for SAN deployment, such as the disk array system-ExaRAID HD, ExaSAN Device Switch, ExaSAN Host Switch, External PCIe optical cable and PCIe NT Re-drive Card. In addition to comprehensive quality assurance and a single contact window for customer support, the advantages of a single vendor also include the overall ExaSAN framework efficiency and implementation cost, which compares favorably with FC solutions. ExaSAN can be fully integrated with Xsan and Final Cut Pro systems, with the ability to implement a shared volume and shared editing SAN environment.

Performance
ExaSAN has leveraged a native External PCI-Express protocol, which is greatly different from traditional FC. Each PCIe lane can provide a bandwidth of 250MB/s.ExaSAN provide a high bandwidth of 20Gb. In addition to high bandwidths, ExaSAN's unique "Zero protocol conversion loss" technology maximizes the overall throughput of ExaRAID HD. ExaSAN speed and performance as well as disk utilization exceed twice of those of FC solutions.
